Born in the vibrant landscapes of Haiti and raised amidst the bustling energy of New York, Sherley L. Mondesir now finds herself inspired by the serene beauty of Florida's gulf side. She’s a mom to two amazing kids who fill her days with laughter, questions, and inspiration; they often spark the stories she writes.

Sherley has a deep love for creativity and uses it to write picture books that turn ordinary moments into something imaginative, thoughtful, or just plain fun. She writes with kids in mind, drawing from their perspective, their emotions, and the way they experience the world.

She’s a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and is steadily learning her way through the world of publishing. Outside of writing, she volunteers at her local church, where she supports children with disabilities; it’s a role that deepens her love for creativity, connection, and seeing the world through a child’s eyes.
